Hi! My name is Ronald Pang Ren Da, and I'm the creator of Bookshelf! I'm 17 years old, and I'm a student in Singapore Polytechnic. I like to code and play video games in my free time. I'm acquainted with Java, Html, CSS, JavaScript and C#, and am currently looking to learn the fundamentals of C++. I started to take up coding two years ago, beginning by learning Java to code Minecraft plugins through different videos and websites, and that's also partially why I created this website!
Bookshelf is created in mind for those who wish to learn how to code Minecraft plugins with the Spigot library, and as a library or database of tips to take note, hence the name 'Bookshelf'. Bookshelf can also be a way for those who just took up Java to practice their skills by using their newly learnt skills practically to code plugins. If you have any queries, feedback or suggestions, feel free to contact me with the links below my profile picture!
I created Bookshelf as I feel that there is a lack of comprehensive articles on the Internet that also takes into account beginners learning Spigot.
I was going to go with other names like Chest or Lectern, but Bookshelf best fits the description for a library of written articles on Minecraft plugins.
I do take requests that I feel the need to share it with you guys! However, there are lots of things I need to do in life, so it will take a while to publish!
Quick! Contact me through one of the ways I linked below my profile picture on the 'About' section, and I'll do my best to fix the problem before it worsens!
Yes, yes, yes, please go ahead! As long as you don't infringe on copyright, do not monetize it and remember to give credit to me, you're good to go!
If you're keen to buy me a cup of coffee, contact me! You can also support me through my YT channel, if you do not wish to spend money. No worries! All support is deeply appreciated!
The only prerequisities are Java basics (syntax, primitives, methods etc.), as well as to have a good IDE to code on (I'm using IntelliJ IDEA!).
The tutorials should be understandable if you have learnt basic Java and played around with the library. If you are still unsure, you can always head over to our discord server and ask the community there!
